I meant in terms of changing the physical appearance of the entire desktop, not just the background.  Thanks for the cool backgrounds though.

Well, if you want the layout I've got you'll need vista or server 08 :p
I just assumed you meant a background as I'm running explorer same as you (just a newer version hehe)

well if youre running xp then here http://customize.org/xpthemes you just need the dll patcher to run the custom themes from here http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/Universal-UXTheme-Patcher.shtml hope thats what you were looking for  ;D

Well, I tried out the uxtheme patcher but it doesn't work for sp3 it seems.  Guess, I'll have to pillage stardock again.

theres one for sp3 but i only use sp2 so im not sure where that patcher is
