Jump works with Pro and Shuriken works with Elite but no fins on either Mono character.

This is incredibly cool... except it's such a gigantic pain to re-ID3 each song (and remove the tags afterward, because who wants that crap in their music collection) that I'll just wait for the update with an actual interface.  Maybe custom characters or something?

Was it implemented this way to prevent custom scores from getting confused with "real" scores in the database?

What i do is copy the song i want to use onto the desktop so i dont have to redo the tags, delete the copyed version if you want when your done, its that easy, and it doesnt take up that much more space on your computer unless you do like 1000 songs and dont bother to delete the copyed versions.

I just leave winamp running in the background.  I load a song I want to play into winamp, change the ID3 tag, and then play the song in AS.  Once I'm all done, I just go through my winamp playlist and fix all the ID3 tags.  Clean and simple.

[as-bankcam] ninja-mono-ironmode is like playing an entire different game and the intensity factor is just superb.

Aside from adding the ability to pick modes in-game (which everyone wants), is there anyway to have the bankcam but also keep the vertical "waves" on the course?  Bankcam seems to basically flatten the course out completely, but give one heck of a wild camera ride.  Anyway to have the best of both?

just a quick thought...

could you make it so we can place these tags in the comment field rather than the title field?  like others said, i dont want to screw up my last.fm or my portable.  if we could use the comment field, it would be pretty harmless and still very useful!

Yes, since you're editing their title.

They'll be on their own score board though, so tagged songs will be on different scoreboards than non-tagged ones.

This sounds like a great new feature, but like everyone else said already, the annoyance of having to edit the ID3 tags in the song every time you want to change modes or play a new song kinda ruins it. Wouldn't it be better to just add the tags within Audiosurf, without changing the .mp3 file? And you can't even do this with .wav's and other tag-less formats...or does it use the filename in those cases?

There's another, more subtle problem: unless the order of the tags matters, you could create multiple setups that are the same, but won't have the same scoreboards because the tags are in different orders.

Sounds like a lot of fun, though...I can't wait to try 4 lanes.  ;D

The order does matter. Read what Dylan said under the list, the ones listed higher up take priority.

what he meant was if the order matters on the end result, not in the scoreboards.  like, if you order them one way, and then order the exact same tags a different way, will the end result be different?  we've already identified some bugs with how certain tags work together.

Well I wouldn't know because Audiosurf is unplayable, but I would of thought it would re-arrange the tags in order of priority so they end up the same.
