There are a few addons which for the time being provide support for tagging songs.
Also the all grey idea is pretty similar to classic freeride mode.

i put the tags in the title of the file with space between the song name and the bracket
also i tried to use more than 1 tag in a song name like this one: Skyfire - Dimensions Unseen [as-4lane] [as-nogrey] [as-first]
when i try to play this song i have only the modification [as-allgrey] although i didnt put it in the song name. how is that possible?

None of these work.
What a waste.
They all work. You must be doing something wrong. What I am doing wrong? I added the tags in front of the title, then in the end and i tried the tool of ViRUS AND NOTHING WORK FOR ME!  Two screenshots:   |

Your version is outdated, verify game cache files using Steam or uninstall and reinstall the game.

True true, the as-steep tag is pretty damn awesome imo, would be cool if it's features were incorperated into ironmode or maybe a similar checkbox to save having to re-tag songs yourself to take advantage of it.

The check box has been suggested, though no word on if it'll ever be done. Though check out Yet Another Audiosurf Player (YAAP), it tags the song for you and adds playlist abilities to audiosurf |
