:o I have a lot of obscure songs I would assume that not that many people playing audiosurf would also like.

I wasn't that surprised by the Portal ending since it's so popular but I have some obscure electronic songs, some random OCremix remixes and there were even a bunch of people on the scoreboard for the song "Run Around" from Digimon which I completely forgot I even had :-X I have a ton of songs that I really don't expect to see anyone on the scoreboard but I'm sometimes surprised.

I have a few songs no ones played yet like the opening to Gantz which is crazy fun

Let's see: "Portal - Still alive" was quite a surprise indeed. What also struck me was the insane amount of people on the scoreboard for ".hack//sign - The World" as this doesn't seem like an exciting audiosurf song (though proven otherwise the moment you play it :p).

Also: exactly 2 people played "star trekkin'", good fun :)

I didn't have time to try it but I'm sure Tank!, the opening track from Cowboy Bebop, or any other Bebop tracks, would work an absolute treat as well :)

There are so many levels of obscurity. :P

Here's some obscure for you to go try out:

KiNK (IDM)
Safe/Mode (industrial)
Razornaut (drum and bass)
Acid1 (breakcore)
Underscore (electronic)
Zeropage (ambient dance)
Altemark (breakcore)
Hotelsinus (drum and bass)
Xenobioz (drum and bass)
Stud (glitch)
Kmotiv (downtempo)

and some less obscure:
Ivan Ives (hip hop)
Yat-Kha (tuvan rock)
Dog Fashion Disco (rock)

and not really obscure, but not super-popular yet either:
Tub Ring (rock?)
Stolen Babies (rock / metal)
Karma To Burn (instrumental rock)

If you're listening to any of that, that's pretty obscure stuff.  But I know that's not even the bottom of the pile, but it's close. :)

Has anyone played any tracks from a Touhou mix? I was playing them, but didn't see anyone else on the scoreboard until right when the beta ended, so it looked more like a glitch.

I'm also curious if anyone is doing classical shit like Beethoven and Chopin. Partially because even if it's the same song, it might be played by someone else, so that might be why I never saw anyone else on the scoreboards.

But considering how obscure the songs a lot of people here have, it's interesting that I was able to play some SOAD and MSI songs completely uncontested for a while.
I mostly play as the Ninja Mono, but I occasionally like to play as the eraser, or as I call it, the "ethnic cleanser"!

Chopin? Check! I even made a video of it :)

I wish I remembered to do some John Cage prepared piano - one from The Perilous Night series.

I was startled to find someone else doing Christopher Lawrence's "Defiant" (excellent floaty trance, btw!), Zeromancer's "Doctor Online", and totally shocked to find others had played "Deception" by the Cruxshadows...and kind of surprised to find that nobody else had done Guilty by Gravity Kills (Made an INSANELY difficult track to play too, really fun!).

Caramell Dansen

It's a hyperactive, sugar-sweet Japanese pop song.

I'm pretty certain that caramelldansen is a norvegian song...
