The original post was old, you can run any of the add-ons without patching at all now. Context menu included.

Yes, the context menu installed, and aplicated, but when i choose my track and click play with audiosurf -> play with mono pro, it write me "Could not find steam path". So i cannot use it until i have STEAM version?

Good thing that newer versions aren't cracked and available on trackers. As far as I know the ones that you download without steam don't even show the scoreboard, which is awesome.

Not necessarily, there might be lack of ways to pay for the game too. I got myself a copy of AS only in the beginning of August.

if you cant get access to paypal or a pre-payed card, the only alternative is cash, which will never happen anyway... so steam is perfect

Oh well... to the people of America:
Just understand that in some countries for some people, NONE of the standard payment methodes of Steam are possible, and he may be such a case.
I was also very reluctant to give away my parent's credit card information to Valve just to buy this game.

Paypal isn't perfect, despite what you might think. A country like Japan has only two recognized services that Paypal will work with. My girlfriend had a huge hassle trying to send money from Japan to America because of this, and she's tried a few things including paypal.

I only hope it's not this bad everywhere else. Perhaps if people actually asked, we could help them?

my point is, if neither of those options are available, there is no real alternative. the game just isnt big enough to go on disks etc, so what else would you suggest.
