As I understood, Caterpillars make the the blocks wit ha line underneath them a link of colored blocks when your ship hits them in Freeride.

Banking camera makes your screen turn upside and such, depending on the speed of your song, imagine you are in a simulated rollercoaster (the ones from the Funfair).

Yea, I wasn't really sure how to name it (not only that one), thanks for the suggestion ;)

I'll try to finalize it this afternoon/evening, I had some hectic days :/ (Math classes and such, not very local unfortunatly, so I have to get up VERY early and go to bed VERY late. Still have 3 of those weeks to go /cry).

God, why is my life so busy all of a sudden... I'm working on it ATM, only thing left is making it send the nice commands (banking camera and such) :)

Great news, it's almost finished.

Due to a really REALLY messed up COPYWATA system on AudioSurf's part, you have to press CTRL+ALT+F2 in-game to apply all the settings you specified.

Let me explain why this is. For some reason, AudioSurf isn't good at queuing commands (even when using ascommand queuecommands etc etc. with a delay of 2 seconds between each command), for some reason, it just forgets about older ones. The same thing happens if you send a bunch of commands upon recieval of "asreport oncharacterscreen", it will ignore my already send maximize commands and such. To temp. bypass this very annoying problem, MyAudioSurf will register 2 hotkeys.

CTRL+ALT+F1 for applying the startup mode settings, to use when the Right-side of the screen bug occurs, or when AudioSurf for some reason forgets to apply your command.
CLTR+ALT+F2 for applying the ingame settings like the banking camera and such. It's best to do this AFTER the characters screen is fully loaded, though, it also works when you are already surfing a song.

You also can't use the banking camera and sidewinder at the same time, therefore MyAudioSurf WILL disable one the other. Also, disabling the song's artist and title will sometimes disable the score ticker aswell.

Besides all the bugs/issues that are mostly on AudioSurf's side, MyAudioSurf works great and I expect (for real this time) to release it tonight :)

afaik audiosurf only receive "ingame" settings when it's fully loaded (so when you see the first menu). If i understand you right, you try to send these settings while the game is still loading. Audiosurf sends a message when it's on the character selection screen, you can use that to check when you can send the ingame commands. Sorry if i misunderstood something :)

Problem is, AudioSurf sends "asreport oncharacterscreen" BEFORE the initial load is done, not when you see the final results with all characters and such. And delaying the sending (I even took 10 seconds) doesn't work and isn't really reliable.

I already suggested Dylan to move the "asreport oncharacterscreen" to the end of his statements, not when AudioSurf is still busy loading and drawing stuff. But thanks for sharing your thoughts with me :)

yeah audiosurf is only going to accept one queuecommand before it finishes loading. it often works better to just wait until you get the characterscreen report and then apply all your settings

edit: i've never had problems with audiosurf not accepting commands once it sends the charcterscreen report, regardless of whether or not its fully loaded the character screen.

you're not trying to send commands to audiosurf while it's in the background are you? that's a nono

Nope, I use SetForeground window first, followed by a 10ms delay and then send the command. I even made a function so it can send the command more than one time, just to be sure it registers it. Using longer delays doesn't change the result whatsoever.

My suggestions once more.
- Move "asreport oncharacterscreen" after the characters screen is fully loaded and AFTER it did it's queued commands.
- Make queued commands more reliable, just save them in an array, since it looks like it can only remember one now (thats not really queuing...).
- Send all thje asreports (also for the song title, artist and score) AFTER everything is done loading, that way, programmers like me know it's save to send commands, knowing they will be taken under consideration by AudioSurf.

I will delay the huge v1.3 update once more. I want to report that everything is working fine, I'm just not happy with some of the logging lines. Besides that, the newly added "Run without focus", "Always on top" and "Always on top no border" need a new fresh look in the morning (it's too late for that), testing has to determine wheter they are bugged or not.

Sorry for the delay, but I'll promise you it's not the only thing you'll get ;)
