SO basically this is Audiosurf radio 2...run by the community.

Perhaps not a bad idea if some dedicated and reasonable people get behind it this time.

The thing impressed most with is Shammeh making his own program for it. Bravo to you! (if it works)

What sort of bonus could one give? A18 has things that are useful to actually play the game that you normally have to buy -- either with in game currency or real money. There's nothing like that in AS. The only possible thing I can think of is a prominant display of usernames on the main page *shrug*

Well you could certainly get new skins for winning top 10. As in to change the look of the characters, blocks or whatever.
But I guess the people that are good at this game tend to be people that could make those things themselves

Maybe just a medal or something after their name, so that when they are on leaderboards it shows and tells people that this guy has no life... Or that they just generally awesome at the game ^^

Hey guys, new update, program is almost done!
Im finishing up some last things and expect to release it in a couple of hours with the first song available.

You could just create a table of highscores. You get points based on your rank after a week or whatever, and keep adding to it. The Audiosurf Clan people thingy did it.

Sure, if it's any good i can add it to the list, so far i only got for 16-05, 17-05 and 18-05, but that's because i've been focussing on programming, not music

I made a new, original song (download). It isn't very difficult, but it's a decent surf. If you need music for your daily challenge, feel free to use that song.

Problems with AudioChallenge v1.0 so far:
-Program starts with alert "No song found!".
-Download song gives an unhandled exception (you might want to make an alert "No song to download!" or something).
-Change folder doesn't work. The list of folders only contains 'My Music'.
-It doesn't remember your download folder when you restart the program.

Nope, redownloaded, exact same file (same file size and last modified date), exact same problem.

Weird, maybe you're firewall has some kind of problem? It works good for me and some other people...
