Well, I'd suggest trying to use your left hand - after a few days you might find it to be better than your right.

I write, eat, use scissors and soldering irons using my left hand. Delicate stuff. Right hand I throw with, use it for sports in general, and I brush my teeth using my right.

For years I've been using my right hand to operate the mouse - just how most computers are laid out. switching to my left, after just a few days, it was as good as my right.. sometimes better.

It's an option for this game as only one hand is required to play.

Your handedness is the same as mine, except that I have always used the mouse with my left hand. Hooray for semi-ambidexterity! The worst and most awkward of all the dexterities!

im 90% left, 10 % right, and heard not many people were. you guys went and screwed it up for me. i thought i was special....

there is one thing that bothers me. i write and throw things with my right hand. i do everything else with my left. i wonder if it's because i was taught that way when i was young. like, maybe i was just left-handed but made to throw balls and write with my right hand because of that age-old stigma (it was believed for most of human history that left-handedness means evil).... anyone else feel like they got 'modified' in this way?

At first I tried to play with a mouse using my right hand, it just didn't work. Now I use my both hands and play with a gamepad  My left thumb moves the ship and right thumb takes care of jumping and widening. Feels much more enjoyable this way.

How do you move the ship fast enough in high traffic songs? Compared to a mouse.

Since I posted this, over a year ago now, my left hand has become dominant. I've been addicted to this goofy game for over two years now.

When I first started playing with my left hand it felt so awkward. My right hand wanted to rip the controller away. Now it's the opposite. Recently when I play with my right hand it's my left hand that will be resting on my hip, wanting to take control of the mouse.

Since the beta was released I played so much that my left wrist is now sore. so I switched back to using my right hand bout a week ago, and I find it's much improved.

So now both hands are competent However they've different styles of play. Right hand is by the book - work on matches, clears, and holding the chain. Usually avoid white blocks. Left is completely loco - grab everything in sight, and has an appetite for white blocks. Right hand is consistent, left hand go for broke - usually comes up short, but occasionally scores big

I'll have to post some videos sometime, showing the difference on the same course. That'll have to wait until I get a faster computer..mine slows down too much using frap.

i can use either or for almost everything but i have no chance in hell of playing guitar or bass left handed

With AS finger/wrist strength is not a factor, you're just flicking the mouse back and forth. With guitar you need hand and forearm strength, so I imagine it would take a lot more practice to learn to play guitar ambidextrous.

I use both hands. My left one for 1-3 (and sometimes more) buttons for moving my ship and my right one mainly for mouse buttons.

Right, because I use my right hand for everything mouse related.

I use both because I play DVE.  Hmmm, would playing the mouse with the left and the keyboard with the right be a left-handed playing style?

Left hand on S and D, right hand on the mouse.

I'm a righty and tried my left last night to find I'm just about as good with my left.  I was actually kind of disappointed because I was hoping to use the game to become more ambidextrous.
