Which hand do you use?

Me, I use both. At least I do now.

I'm a little bit ambidextrous, doing some things with my left hand, and some things with my right. Since AudioSurf only requires one hand to play, I started off using my right hand, which normally operates the mouse. Well, after about a week of playing my right hand/wrist started to get sore, so I switched to using my left hand. After just a few days practice my left hand was as good as my right, and now my left hand tends to score a bit higher.

Right hand is a bit quicker on the fastest parts of the course, but the left hand is overall more precise and seems to be able to better figure out how to efficiently snatch the blocks.

Sometimes when I play a tune for the first time each hand will have a stab at the course, battling for dominance. This amuses me. Sometimes righty wins, but lately lefty's been getting the upper hand. Switching hands also keeps my hands and arms fresher longer, something important at my advanced age.

You must train both hemispheres grasshoppa!

I usually use my middle hand, but I sometimes use my top right hand as well.

Right, I'm left handed but I'll be damned if I'm going to even try to get by with a left-handed mouse. My mouse is the G5


As you can see from the picture, it's heavily contoured for the right hand.

I've used right-handed mice for ~14 years, I'm used to it.

No need for a left handed mouse. I'm using a 'normal' mouse. When I play with my right hand I use my index finger to hit the left button. For my left hand I use my middle finger to hit the left button, with my index finger on the right button.

The G5 is VERY contoured for the right hand. It has a deep cut in it for the thumb, and a large hump for the far-right fingers. Suffice it to say left-handed use is out of the question.

However, I used to use my old mouse ambidextrously occasionally. However, I find learning to use the standardized keys-left mouse-right format is worth the effort.
