I'm still having issues with audiosurf crashing when AS is on fullscreen and AMP is in Run in Background mode.

If I Alt+tab and close AMP (I.e. red X), when I go to maximize AS, it crashes.

When AMP is not on Run in Background mode, I don't get this problem.

That might be an actual problem with Audiosurf...
Does it crash when you do that but don't close AMP?

As in maximize AS again?

Usually not. Occasionally it does though. Especially if I just finish a song, and I'm only using AMP for the screen tilt. Then AMP gives an error about no song, minimizes AS, then crashes.

I'm just wondering, the boxes:

Roads
Sidewinders
Freeride Blocks
Freeride Caterpillars
Freeride AutoAdvance
Show in MSN

aren't available for selections, they are greyed out. The other boxes I can decide to change if I want though. How do I select these options?

Note how the last three have your answer right there.

Yeah those are all for freeride only, except the MSN one. I haven't integrated that part yet; it's currently only available through the use of the separate msn app

Ah, I didn't realise there was a freeride option in the dropdown box. My bad! Cheers  :)

So this is my favorite Audiosurf mod out there right now.

But there's this problem see, I think it's similar to the one johnie102 described.

When I open my mp3 folder (which has ~1200 files in it), only around 100 files are shown. Half of them has a name, the other half only has a number (the lowest being 15 and the heighest being 52). Most of the files are mp3's. There are around 4 wav's and there is 1 m3u (playlist) file.
The error displayed is the NotAnMP3 error.

Hope this info helps.

EDIT: I opened a folder only containing mp3's fully tagged. They were all listed as 'Unknown Artist -'

The specifics of my issue are as follows:

I use iTunes to organize my music (I have some 20,000 songs). This means they are organized according to a hierarchy that goes Library->Artist->Album based on their ID3 tags.

For the same Artist, I will open up the folder for one album in AMP to add the files to a playlist. To my chagrin, I find the list on the right (the list of available files in the selected folder) contains a list of numbers which don't seem to be related to the songs in any way. If I look at another album (folder) all the information displays correctly. Now, it's like this through my whole library, seemingly at random. Despite only being displayed as numbers, the songs seem to play okay, I just can't tell which one is which.

So I thought, oh, well it must be getting that number from somewhere in the ID3 tag and displaying it instead of the Song information. I bet if I compare the ID3 tags of one that works, and one that doesn't I'll see what's wrong. To my surprise, I couldn't find any differences other than the specific information about the song.

The numbers displayed seem to have nothing to do with the information in the file name or ID3 tags. For example I'll have and album with tracks 1-15 each with a different name and track number.

What I'll see in AMP is a list That contains a set of numbers, usually somewhere in their 30's. Sometimes the numbers are repeated, these are not unique identifiers, and I have no idea where it's getting them from.

It makes me sad! I love my music and playing through a whole album is much more satisfying that playing through just one song, but I can't even put them in the right order!

While I'm at it, what would be great for this app is a drag and drop feature for building playlists like winamp or something.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that there seems to be an issue here, not demanding an update or anything, I really appreciate what you've put together already, it's totally awesome.

Yeah im still kinda working on this here and there. This is my final week at uni for a bit, so I should hopefully get time to update my projects over break.

I've gotta poke around a bit and see what's causing some of these errors
