"Debug DirectX Runtime"
« on: April 04, 2008, 12:01:13 am »

(Yes, the screenshot says "TMUnited", but this is happening to most games I am playing currently)

Whatever this is, it's impacting on Audiosurf's performance, and I think Windows itself (there are periods when my system slows down, the mouse isn't as responsive... etc). I tried googling it but by following some of the links in the first search result, I got a link to the DirectX SDK or something like that, and trust me I do NOT want to download a 400+MB thing just to fix this.

the video I just uploaded should help show you what I mean by 'impacting'.

So yeah. Any ideas?

Install this
Then open it up and jump to the direct3d tab and check the 'use retail version' rather than 'use debug version' as in
