I believe the complications begin with the fact that mainstream music will only truly be played often if the person is one of those "I really only listen to what's on the radio/TV (mtv)" people.
Most people are so individualized with their music, that they will find their own niche in the type of music they like to surf to.
I understand what you are doing, and I like the idea, its just that the effectiveness, which can be quickly proven in this server, is lacking...Sorry that things aren't working that you want them to though..
