I have a feature request for you guys: please mess with the game's textures. I want to see what you come up with! This would be a good place for screenshots - or make your own thread.
Where should separate threads go?  In "Feature Requests"  Huh

Good point.. now that this is becoming a little more popular you might want to create some kind of "mods" / custumizations or some new discussion category for these types of user customizations - because im sure its heading in the direction where even more options will be available to change and will get lost in feature requests.

There's 9 images to edit. Don't go over the top. A single thread is fine.

I just finished some Laughing Man tunnels, white and black.

These are 512x512 compared to the 256x256 images they replace. Might have a slight performance hit.
I made the inner part much lighter so it's not as distracting/annoying when you go through it. If anyone is interested in this and wants it more visible just ask me, it's pretty easy to do.

pure black pixels comes up as transparent right? (for black background rings)

PsychoSnowman - I have an idea for your rings you just made. The grey inner circle part.. make every other pixel pure black and see if it gives a transparent effect.

Merqury - great job on the rings...

I did a /fail attempt but i'll upload anyways.

For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to use a Quake ring for the rings but the dam nail is too long.. but i did it anyways Wink

Also changed the particles to the NIN logo. Here for anyones amusment.

I've recently had a go at trying to add glowy stuff to the walls at the edges of the track. Worked out ok but it's not perfect on bumps as it's a flat image where I've tried to make it 3D with perspective. I've also altered the rings slightly, look a bit like tractor tires now lol
Just thought I'd try something different  Cheesy

Looks good [0_x], I like how it clips through the edges of the track just slightly.

Here's my attempt at making a decent gate.  Rings seem to be what everybodies fixated on, and I rather prefer the huge gates that randomly pass over the track.  Quick texturization in PSP to give it a rounded 3d look and I've got a keeper...at least for me:

I made triangles before, but they obscured the view around corners unless I made them really wide.

Wow!  Thanks so much for this update Dylan!  I noticed the upped Graphics in game too.  The future track and the blocks on it looks waaay cool glowing like that.

I'll get to work on some mods for this.  I've got tons of sweet ideas!

Lol, I wanna make one set of gates that looks like the way into the deathstar's core.  That would be cool.
