Obligatory.  Stargate rings (only for black background).

AMAZING


Thanks for including the psd File. I translated them into white background format.


However, Im getting an error in photoshop when loading the jpegs

Anyway, heres the white background version. Freeze-framed it looks kinda choppy, but in motion it looks pretty much the same

wow some of these look really good gonna have to try a couple.

Dylan your gonna have to implement away to have multiple texture mods installed and be able  to  switch between them somehow.

Might as well add to the Stargate set...

The source pics were kinda rough, but when you're playing the glow pretty much takes care of the rough patches.

Ladies and gentleman I present, for your amusement, the floating head of Trent Reznor. This was done for the black background and works surprisingly well. Not to mention if you're a NIN fan it's pretty bloody funny.

I think it would be cool if you could put in several different tunnel images, and if the game randomized what image each tunnel will be. I was kind of thinking of make a set of futuristic-themed advertisements.

Fog's brand dog food: For those low-gravity life-style dogs.
Perfection window cleaner: The meaner cleaner window-dirt exterminator.
Breathatol: When you need some air to breath, we provide the best! (inside joke, but not by much)
Sky travel agency: Have you been to urectum? Well, here's your chance! (Futurama joke)
Sanity-in-a-bottle: You knew someone would make it eventually.
Insanity-in-a-bottle: Nothing says rebel like a kool, refreshing main-brand kola.

Actually, I can't do graphics, but I think it would be cool if this kind of thing were possible...could I do graphics.
I mostly play as the Ninja Mono, but I occasionally like to play as the eraser, or as I call it, the "ethnic cleanser"!

it would be possible given a set of tunnel images were sampled in areas with consistent rings (Such as strong downhill segments). I have worked with vector-based brand logos and ads in the past, however, I recently lost my Adobe Creative Suite to a registry screwup(Virus'd beyond belief) and cant reinstall without serious pirating. Im left with my brothers Photoshop CS2 and thats it  :-\

nice treble clef. Im working on making one for mine with treble and bass as well as two notes. Im adding glow to them too.

tnl: I added a glow similar to that found on the "Enhanced" graphics settings to the stargate ring. I figured since my game moves slower than molasses in the arctic on enhanced mode, I'll compromise and put a little photoshop magic into it :)

Theyre pure white with opacity detailing. dont worry about the black spaces down bottom. Theyre there.

As the treble clef and bass clef was mentioned I just whipped em up real quick like for anyone that wants just the musical notes.

By the way everyone, you're all doing some good un's ! keep em coming ;D

EDIT: Thanks Dylan for uploading my last lot to these forums, was greatly appreciated.

EDIT 2: Added a few more particles and changed that fat note to a more normal shape  :D

There are animated PNG's, but it hasn't really caught on with mainstream yet.  It's pretty cool stuff -- has a full range of alpha transperancy, 16 million colors, and the filesize isn't terribly large.
Are they only readable through web browsers? If not, please elaborate. I'd like to try this.

Good point.. now that this is becoming a little more popular you might want to create some kind of "mods" / custumizations or some new discussion category for these types of user customizations - because im sure its heading in the direction where even more options will be available to change and will get lost in feature requests.
