I just checked my e-mail and saw that the latest beta had come out. I never downloaded the first one so I downloaded the game from the link in the e-mail. When I start audio surf everything is fine. I click play and it brings me to this screen.

Don't know what it means by expired beta, I have the most recent build, and I'm pretty sure I'm connected to the internet because I'm posting this.
Any ideas?

Is anyone still getting this? I think it was just because the server was unresponsive.

Please try this:

Open updater.ini in your install folder and change [app]version from 4 to 3. Save the file and restart the game. It should run the auto-updater.

If you're on Vista and the auto-updater doesn't work for you, then you could also try applying the latest update manually. Just put it in your install folder and extract it there:

This did not solve anything on my end.

It must be something about your internet connection then. Are you running through a proxy or some other unusual setup?

Doing that also did not help me.  I'm connected to the internet through a router however the first beta worked fine.
