I'm running XP, and I can't get Beta 2 to auto-update. When I start it up, it goes to the regular menu; clicking Play results in the message that the beta is over. I've tried installing it in other folders, uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting the computer, all to no avail. Audiosurf is not in my hosts file; I never tried playing it on this computer before Beta 2.

Oh, and this is an administrator Windows account.

Please help. :-/
exact same problem here, actually. It's telling me to close out of the program and restart every time I try to play, in order for it to update. But every time I do it just takes me to the same menu screen. So I try to play, but it won't let me and it tells me to restart etc etc.

halp plz Sad

I've got the same problem.  I'm also running XP

If you've installed from the beta 2 installer, then there are no auto-updates needed. If it tells you that the beta expired then my only guess so far is that the server is loaded and unreachable. Working on it.

Sorry about the Vista patching issues. To go from beta1 to beta2 on Vista, one thing you could do is download the patch and apply it manually:
