though it won't ever happen with the current game engine because it is closed soruce and is made for windows olny.
and even if it did it would be harder distribute due to apple being an ass with there app store not to mention i think time is better spent imporveing the game instead of porting to "<Insert Platforme/OS Here>".
maybe someone should lock this topic
There's no point locking it, just stop using the thread for chatting about irrelevant things. Dylan's never made an official statement on whether to port to another system or not. The whole reason the game is on Steam is because a lot of people pushed for it and because steam was a brilliant way to deliver content to people.
Just because the engine is closed source doesn't mean that the game couldn't be ported to another system. In the future, Dylan may develop his own engine that exports to a variety of media. Developing for the iPhone / iPod is do-able if a decent engine would be developed for it, but you'll probably find that wont be happening. In all honest, I believe that developing for the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 is the most likely. Capcom uses an MT engine to develop its games, and used it for Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 4. All use the same engine and can export to PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 without causing too much impact on how different the game is. If Dylan was able to develop Audiosurf using a different engine, he probably would. He has talked a little about doing a new full release one day, so it's possible.
