Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but it could be written (albeit in a low graphics mode) for Rockbox on the iPod.
And if you're really dedicated (don't take this suggestion seriously) you could write a grayscale version with MIDI music in ASM for the TI 83+.
(that was a joke, though it would be awesome nonetheless)

even being a joke, the ti83 couldn't do much of anything.  if you bump it up to the ti 88 or 92, maybe.  the ti 88 can run C&C Red Alert, albeit a simplified version.

PSP is not better. Its base engine has so many requirements. The game actions cant be that really fast witch just killed the idea. If to make it on PSP, the whole ninja move thing would not exist. So there is no point. DS might pull it off but I have no idea there. But about PSP I am 100% sure!
Half the problem is the source code, the other half is creating tracks on the fly. Unless you port the .ash files directly and it translates, I don't see a phone being able to produce tracks.
Also, the screen... so tiny! Something about playing games on a phone seems a bit ridiculous.
Dude in my opinion, you get an A+ because I agreed with that 100% man.
I mean ew playing it on a phone is just.. Weird. I'm pretty sure the majority of us use the mouse, not the keyboard, it won't be easy to play anyway if we could pull it off. And the iPhone just... Is ew. I've got one, it's a piece of junk. (IMO)

Seriously, some iphone programs have SOLD (paid programs) over 250,000 licenses now.  All the touches are MP3 players.. it goes together.

Dev for iphone  (serious work), distribute  (sit on ass and do what not), get loaded until the iphone is replaced with something else(collect checks).

As I said before, the issue is not with the concept of putting it on an iPhone/iPod Touch. The problem is the hardware. The only logical solution right now is to the PSP, but the problem will always be .ash file generation. I've tried Audiosurf on a borderline capable PC, and it takes a short while to render an .ash file, so god only knows what kind of magic the PSP (let alone anything else) would have to perform in order to do the same thing.

True enough, but consider that any handheld/console is not running an OS thats bloated with tons of other stuff running at any given time. It's essentially just running a basic kernel and that one application.

That said, a port is still ridiculous and out of the question at this point.

Yes, a port is already going to have bugs associated with just the act of being ported, lets wait for Audiosurf to get as near to perfect as possible on the PC version first.

I just purchased this game through Steam this week and love it! I hope there's a Mac OS X version in the works, this game would be fantastic on the Mac. Right now I'm using other methods (Boot Camp) to play the game, it would be great if a port is available in the future.

It actually kind of runs right now using Crossover/Wine (but on top of Steam, which adds significant overhead to the emulation), with annoying graphical glitches in the window drawing and menu system - but the main game works if you can get to it. But I'd still love to see a native Mac version.

Note to people who think this is off-topic: This is pretty much a "Audiosurf Ported To _____" thread, so yeah. And this idea actually makes sense.

I just got the game a little bit ago on steam and showed my friend, he was amazed and said I would totally buy that if it was on xbox live marketplace. I think that would be a great way to spread the game and get a bigger base of players. Also it would rock on the zune with the touchpad. And through XBL they could make a crap load of money.

Well hey, I'm a programmer, and it cant honestly be THAT hard to learn XNA (which is basically C# from what I've heard). Would it be illegal to make a game like Audiosurf and sell it on the Xbox Arcade marketplace? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't, due to the amount of Guitar Hero typed games.

Oh well, I doubt I could do anywhere near as good of a job of making an audoisurf game as Dyaln did. Props to you man.

We really can't stop you, but Dylan has every right to sue for copyright infringement if it's too close to Audiosurf.
