Why are you hosting your music collection?

Why do you link to your music collection three times?

Thanks though, i just grabbed a few songs from your music collection.

Both are good questions.

If you don't want people to access your music collection, then the answer is simply to stop hosting it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, the way your post is all set up makes me believe that you may be hoping that more people do indeed come and download stuff from you.  I believe you are smart enough Falcon to know that by posting a warning like this and then providing three links and even putting not like "not" - will just cause people to become more interested. So as to why you would do such a thing makes me wonder your true intentions.

you're right abrax, he's obviously advertising his awesome music collection. his tricky use of reverse psychology nearly got me though.

Wow, this proves a great point on how text cannot convey sarcasm.

...though I was able to see it immeadiatly myself...

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I want to know why it took until the fourth poster before the someone even admitted sensing irony.

Nice music collection. Have stolen some good songs from CDs I already own anyway. Thank you.
I mostly play as the Ninja Mono, but I occasionally like to play as the eraser, or as I call it, the "ethnic cleanser"!

I'm noticing a lot of people have taken an interest in my music collection and are having a blast downloading everything I have.

Since this could be considered somewhat illegal, I'm kindly asking everyone to not browse my music collection.

There is a lot of music in my music collection that shouldn't be distributed to other people over the internet, everything from Ace of Base to VNV Nation, completely overlooking my massive Linkin Park library (along the lines of "every album even remotely related to Linkin Park including singles, rare editions, remixes, etc"). I've done my best to tag and name these files in the most intuitive manner possible, however I should be the only person enjoying them.

Whenever my computer is turned off (never) or the file server isn't running (most likely), people will be unable to access the library anyway, so this won't be a problem.

So please, do not browse my library and do not download all the music you want.

Thanks!  ;D

I will not browse and download your music collection.  And I will not thank you from the bottom of my heart for hosting and posting it here.  ;)

Respect.

God damn, text doesn't convey sarcasm really well...but from the context it was very easy to see....

So, now my question is, how would I go about "not" hosting my music online so that people can "not" browse and download it?

Very interesting.  what kind of router did you use that could install software onto it?  I'm using a silly little Broadband firewall router.  Just some cisco thing.

I'll make sure "not" to let you guys know when my music is online.
