Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts
« on: March 04, 2008, 12:31:59 am »
So Trent Reznor definitely just released a new album without telling anybody....
It's pretty epic and it's called Ghosts. It's a series of 4 albums really, and they all rock muchly.
You can download the first of the 4 albums for free from ghosts.nin.com or off of most major torrent sites (Trent Reznor himself uploaded copies), or you can pay $5 and download 320kbps mp3's of the entire 4 albums. That or do what I did and pay $10 for the 2 cd set and then choose from mp3's, flac, or itunes lossless versions of the album to download and listen to while you wait for your cds to arrive.

All-in-all you should at least check the album out, it's made of win.

Wow, that's pretty damn impressive! It's nice to see some mainstream artists taking on the record industry their own awesome way.

This whole story is made of win. Never heard much NIN, so I wouldn't otherwise be inclined to try it out, but you know, with a distribution like this, it's definitely worth a look. ;D

Thanks!

I bought it yesterday. It pretty much sounds like a bunch of random stuff that Trent might have left on the scrap board, but I still enjoy it. ^_^

Torrenting it now. Not even really very interested, lol.

Quite funny that they put up an official torrent on The Pirate Bay.

I'm listening to the album right now.
I think it is a little too calm.

I will buy a Cd-Version if I like the Album. but I would never pay 300$ for the ultra deluxe limited edition package. I even think the deluxe Edition kosts too much. For 75$ I would at least expect 2 SaCDs to be in the package.

I can see in your profile, that you like With Teeth very much. Great album. I wonder why there is so much hate for it among the fans.

Have you poked around the remix site at all? I didn't even realize it existed til last night when i was F5'ing nonstop waiting for trent to get the ghost downloads back up
http://remix.nin.com/

a lot of that stuff is really cool, i especially like We're In This Blurred Line Closer Now

I have downloaded all the official remixes that I do not have on a CD there. (especially the Further Down The Spiral US Version is hard to get here in Germany).
Not to mention the 2 bonustracks of the japaneese With Teeth Album.

We're In This Blurred Line Closer Now
I'm not a big fan of mashups but this one is great.

yes I just found it. Plus there are also the lyrics for the song

DISCIPLINE
am i still tough enough?
feels like i’m wearing down
is my visciousness
losing ground?
am i taking too much
did i cross a line
i need my role in this
very clearly defined
i need your discipline
i need your help
i need your discipline
you know once i start i cannot help myself
and now it's starting up
feels like i'm losing touch
nothing matters to me
nothing matters as much
i see you left a mark
up and down my skin
i don't know where I end
and where you begin
i need your discipline
i need your help
i need your discipline
you know once i start i cannot help myself
once i start i cannot stop myself

I see on your last.fm-profile that you are listening to the song right now.

I'm downloading it right now. I hope it's better than Year Zero.
Whoopsy I did not see the new thread.
