The Definition of an Audiosurf Song
« on: March 02, 2008, 01:34:28 am »
I was tossing a few ideas around in my head about the game lately, namely general rules for an Audiosurf friendly song(for when I introduce it to pals). The basic rules I've come up with are this.

1. Has to have a lively beat OR no songs with traffic congestion less than 50.
2. Has to be a reasonable length OR longer than a minute and less than 15.

A lot of these will be completely opinions, but I want to get the community's general view on this. I know some people may like playing mellow 25 minute songs, or 45 seconds of solid windows "ding" on ninja mono, but this would be general guideline for most modes/difficulties.

You know what though, I've discovered that almost any style of music works awesome with this game. I played a really slow, quiet track from a movie soundtrack and the way the track flowed with the dynamics was really amazing. Wasn't exactly a difficult ride of course, it was just a great experience.
