Thanks for the help but that didn't seem to work for me (well, I couldn't find any "patchfile.zip," only a "library.zip" and after deleting that Audiosurf no longer runs.).

EDIT: Realised you said the demo might not work for the update. Is there any way to get the real beta exe? I'm using the same one as gleex on the previous page.

well, I have the setup from last week's beta, and if that is not installed, you install it, and than accept the updates, it should work, for me at least.

lol goldfrapp ftw, and until dylan actually confirms the beta release, cant expect anything. although im hopeful that he will send an email to the beta mailing list with a new exe link. maybe he's not packaged it yet. its entirely possible he fell asleep at his compy too

For those who can't play it, use the launcher from last week, if you don't have it google for it, i'm sure you can find it on torrent like isohunt or else and by the way the ew option are there, the outline and paint aren't there anymore !

Same here. Is there a different installer that people that were in the previous beta are using? The one I'm using is "SetupAudiosurf_BetaPreview_PUBLIC_DEMO.exe" and it's 67,422,587 bytes.

I'm using the Public Demo, that might be the problem.

ok demo is fail. if you have the demo you cant play til you get the official beta release. the update file itself is called patch_bw1_to_bw2.zip which leads me to believe it was meant strictly for updating the Beta Week1 client to the the new Beta Week2 client. just wait until the email is sent and the beta link is given, all will be well. remain calm.

I found a torrent for the beta and am updating it. Taking considerably longer than the update for the other version I had so it leads me to suspect that it will work. I hope Dylan's okay with that.

Agreed completely! As much fun (not to mention a complete honor) it is to wait around for these beta weekends, it'll be nice to not have the stress around it. And just get to PLAY. But, hell, I like watching games evolve.

Those pirated versions are all glitchy. I think that's how my version got messed up, originally. >.>;
