Need to reset your password?

Okay, so I know which email I use for AS, and I've done the password reset thing and received the new password, but I still can't log in...
I know it sounds like exactly the same problem that everyone else has, but I've read through the entire thread, and nothing's helped...

Ok, so it doesn't have any special characters that would be messing the thing up...
Have you tried copying and pasting the password from the email into the login screen?

I did that before, and typed it in, and it didn't work. But now it does work, and I haven't done anything differently.
Maybe the password resetting takes time?

Love the game, but since the last update, I haven't been able to log back in.  (Stupidly, I hadn't made time to record my password.)  I've since reset my password, but still haven't been able to log in.  I've re-verified the game files, tried nine permutations of the new pwd, and read through every post in this topic to make sure I wasn't overlooking something, but the solution is not presenting itself.

So, Audiosurf experts- I summon your vast power and arcane wisdom.  What now?

If the news about Audiosurf Radio isn't showing up on the loading screen, then it could be your anti-virus software blocking you.

Calm down, and I believe Dylan changed it so you get sent an email with a link that if clicked, will change your password.  So, as long as you don't click the link, your password will stay the same.

You mean as long as someone doesn't have access to your email account, and 90% of the time people only use 1 or 2 passwords for everything so they more then likely have access to that anyway.

This is only a problem for those who use things like gmail or phone company email.  People who use things like MS Outlook don't have that problem.

is there not a way this can be fixed becuase i've tried reseting my password a few times and it's still the same result i don't want to just make a new e-mail because of this problem.

Okay, disabling my AV software has allowed me to log in, though not for more than one session at a time.
Will this issue be addressed in future development?  I'd prefer not to tweak my AV software if I can help it; this is the first issue it's had with a game.

FOr the People Using The Password Reset Thingy be sure to not use Yahoo... I tried and it did not work, then i used GMAIL and it worked... I hope that helps.

So, resetting the password is alright, but unfortunately the password given is always weak (4 numbers? GAH!). Can we get a change password option in the future? Or, could the random password generator give us the choice as to what size the new password is (since it sends two confirmation mails)?

You're one step ahead of me Huey, I put my request in for a new password about an hour ago...............still on new password.

For that part, it's because they're separate accounts for the forums and the game.

Did it ever occur to you guys that there are people out there that have valid email addresses with more than 30 characters?

I'm just asking because I need a new password since my old one is not accepted anymore - after an odyssey to actually get the game running again.

And now the stupid reset form (that doesn't even seem to let me choose a new password) is capped at 30 chars for email address, but I can go to 9000 for account name?!

Any help possible? Creating a new account is not an option in my book...
