I have a similar issue.  I know what my username, email and password combination is for both the forums and the game, but I've owned the game for about two weeks now and still have not been able to log in in-game.  I just tried the password reset function on the website, but I haven't gotten a confirmation email yet.  This is really frustrating since I can get steam achievements, but I can't post on the leaderboards until this is fixed.

I've tried re-downloading the game and verifying the cache.  Every time I try and verify the steam cache it re-downloads anywhere from 1 to 8 files.  Every time.  This is becoming quite frustrating, but any help is appreciated.

The verification causing the same files to download is normal behaviour.

Have you tried creating a new account?

I want to get back on audiosurf, but I have forgotten my password.  The trouble is I have moved and have canceled my old email account, so If I request to send my password via email, it will send it to a now defunct email address.  I need to change both email and password.   How do I do this?  My audiosurf name is megaman02.

Easiest way is to make a new account.


You could ask for your account to be changed by the developer, though it would be much quicker just to make a new account.

A few questions to help work things out.

You originally created an account in-game?
Does your account name have any funny characters? (As in non-standard a-z A-Z 0-9 etc)
Have you typed your details correctly into the form?

I have created an account a year ago. Not 100% sure about user or password. I know for certain there are no strange characters, only letters and numbers. I tried to creat a new acccount ( in-game ) it said the mail is already in use. I tried "Forgotten password" like 6 times and it says "IF your mail is in the database you will receive mail". The user and password I used to log on this forum does not work in the game.

Forum account is different to game account they are separate systems.

If your email is detected as used, then you *should* get the email. Unless spam filters are chewing things up.

At worst you can use a different email address (not perfect I know).
