Out of curiosity, why do people want a preview button for in game?  Chances are if it's in your library you should have SOME idea how it goes...sorry if I'm missing something.

I'd love to see last.fm integration if at all possible and it would be cool to give a little something extra to people who play ironmode (so if I glanced at the scoreboard, I could see who played ironmode).  I also like the idea of just starting on the track...there have been a couple songs I've played where the start of the song is very abrupt and I mess up right at the beginning.

You're right, I only have around 3,000 songs.  Doesn't seeing an artist or something remind you though?  I've never had a problem with it.

Although now that I think about it, I do have some movie scores I probably wouldn't remember how certain tracks on them went.  These are tracks I'm not likely to play though since if I like a song I'll remember what it's called ;P

I'm not against it being added or anything, I'd just like to see other things implemented first.

I usually have my music program open in the background anyway, and find it easy enough to skim through that looking for songs. I do play in windowed mode though, so makes it easier for me than some.

Well, it's not so much not knowing anything about it, but it's often hard to remember what, say, a specific movie music cue or video game music track is going to be. Or a movement from a ballet, for that matter. General idea of the style, sure, but it could still be fast or slow, quiet or loud...etc. I don't actually care too much about it either, but I would certainly use it if implemented (especially if it could be used in conjunction with a random button).

Actually, I have a really simple request: Add the current time of the song to the HUD somewhere! It would be nice to be able to glance up, when a particular song starts getting to a tough part, and seeing exactly how many minutes and seconds I'm in...so that as I retry the song later to perfect it, I can mentally brace myself for what lies ahead.

The audio preview would be nice for those of us playing fullscreen.  Mainly because of the tons of music I have and the grip of Post-rock contained within, it is sometimes hard to remember which untitled track on Sigur Ros untitled CDs is the one I want to play.

Really though, it's not an important or critical update.  Just something that would be nice if the devs get the time to do it.

Well the best thing for Audiosurf would be co-op mode. Splitscreen.

I went through the pages and compiled requests that make general sense. I am very sorry if this isn't exactly a "most requested features" list, but this sticky could utilize it, I think:

- Fullscreen settings are preserved, along with the graphical options.
- Photosensitive seizure warning a switchable setting
- Account Information-changing feature
- Versus Mode: split-screen
- Dual XBOX360 controllers support/common HID controllers support
- Game types (Mono Double-Vision, Vegas Elite, custom game modes)
- “Crowd” sound effects return request
- More/custom visual scenery in-song
- Music length limitation increase (limitation removal would cause issues)
- Last.fm radio selections for playing songs
- Tagging:
   + consider song length & a graph analysis (with deviation factor)
   + consider other tag info (album info is suggested)
   However, I hear this issue will be treated with MusicBrainz.
- Daily challenges
- Store scores locally, on file, for reference
- Customizable controls
- “Song first, ship later” selection order to ease character transitions
- Continuous album play
- Savable playlists, and the ability for others to view them respectively
- Visual icon next to songs in the browser indicating they have yet to be played via Audiosurf
- Option to change “dethroning” notification to an in-game feature
- Viewable “pre-loaded” folder
- Several audio format support requests (Musepack, APE)
- In-game changeable tags

It's a sizable list, but I thought I'd help and compile stuff. I know I missed a good number regardless.

It would be great if i could choose the character, and after i play a song, i don't have to choose it again. I mean, I usually play with one mode at a longer time (eg. if i want to relax, only mono), so it would be easier this way.

The other thing, is some kind of playlist: i can add songs and only have to click a "next" button after a song, until the playlist is over. And a shuffle option maybe.

The last thing is not a feature exactly: I love mono mode, but i think because of the widener, it's too easy, thats some kind of "cheat", in my opinion I know, i can play with ironmode, but that way my score will be much lower, then the others. Maybe an ironmode only scoreboard?

Theoretically, if you play in ironmode your score should be higher since there are more blocks...but I'd still like for a way to differentiate between ironmode scores on the normal scoreboard.

this is most likely a reapeat but im a little too impatient to read through every post, now it may just be me and my years of guitar hero and now rock band, but i would like a mode (similar to mono) where every block is colred, on beat, and you just collect it. sorry im having difficulty explaining it.


like say, for example, the solo in free bird, take any part of it i dont want to collect a few colored blocks here and there while dodding my face off, i want to be frantically moving back and forth trying to colelct every block thats on beat with the solo.

yeah i hope that makes sense
