New site - view and upload Audiosurf videos

Seeing all the videos being posted of AudioSurf in action, I created AudioSurfBoard.com, a site that I hope will consolidate and allow people to share videos of AudioSurf in action from a wide range of video sites. Such as YouTube, Stage6, Google Video, MySpace Videos, Vimeo, etc. On top of that, you can rate each video, and there's a page with Top Rated and Most Viewed that'll list the Top 10 of each. Each member get their own page that lists all their videos.

The site is quite simple to use.

• First, register for an account, then login to post.
• Add a title in the form of Artist - Song Name
• Click a button for the video service your video is on (YouTube, Stage6, etc.) and paste the URL to the video.
• Click Publish, and you're done!

If your video service isn't available as a button, and you want to share videos from other services like Viddler, Revver, etc. then simply go into the Code editor (default is Visual editor) and paste in the Embed code those sites provide.

Since it's a blog and all, you can post about why you like the track, what character you use, and so on. Or not, you can just keep it simple and just post the video.

There are currently 18 videos on the site now. Feel free to add your's and show everyone your AudioSurf experience.

I welcome any comments, suggestions, questions, and any other feedback if you have any.

The custom color mono ones on Stage 6 look great.

lebeth:  I was playing around with the screen effects and discovered if you set it to a white track and the Negative screen effects, you get what you saw.  I loved it so much, I've kept it there.

Any chance I could get some GameTrailers encoding support? I tried putting in the code by itself and it didn't work.

I just tested a GameTrailers video, and it works fine.  You have to make sure you post it under the Code editor (the default view is Visual.)  Right above all the buttons, you'll see Visual and next to it, Code.  Paste the Embed code in there, and hit Publish, and it'll show up on the site.

Correct, you can use any video host you want, this site just provides a way for people to find AudioSurf videos without having to hunt down the groups/channels and individual videos on all those services.

Excellent site! I hadn't discovered all the new high resolution Audiosurf videos on Stage6 - those look way better than youtube.

Stage6 does a good job showing AudioSurf in all its glory.  Glad you like the site.  Oh, and thanks for making such a great game - as both a huge music fan and gamer, it's perfect for me.

Sadly, it looks like Stage6 has been in the crapper for a good few weeks now. Ever since they were supposedly hacked by eBaum's, in fact. Uploading is currently disabled, and they're in legal trouble as well. Good chance they're going to get closed down.

ugh god, stage 6 is one of the best sites out there. I really hope it dosent get shut down, i rather see the copyrighted stuff go away then have it completley dissappear

Me too. I did a little research, and I can't find any other video sharing sites that use DivX (since Stage6 was originally a part of DivX Inc., I guess this makes sense). It sucks that we may not be able to host high-quality videos for free anywhere.
