ThrillRide

A more "roller-coaster" feel, ThrillRide has corkscrews and loops. Same rules as EasyRide\FreeRide.

YEEEESSSSSSS
To elaborate, more than 1 corkscrew allowed and extra turns chained together in the same direction.
THIS. NOW. D:

MOAR THAN ONE CORKSCREW FTW!!!

Double Agent
Double agent allows you to instantly alternate between a color collector or a gray collector.

Color Collector
Normal mode, collect color blocks for matches. Overfill with gray = end.

Gray Collector
Collect gray blocks for matches. Overfill with color = end.

Playing double agent effectively gives you two match boards, when you switch mode you swap boards.

The draw back to switching modes is not being able to dodge for X beats. (X is a number).

This game mode is inspired by Ikaruga.

Rather than not being able to dodge(by that I assume you mean move), how about a cool-down period so you can't go switching back and forth and collect 90% of the total blocks.

That is a good alternative to the no dodging rule. I like it.

Wtf is so 'tactic' about ThrillRide? Shouldn't this just be some new [as-] tag? ThrillRide character adds no thingies at all and I would still choose Pusher/Pointman Elite, just because ThrillRide does not have anything to boost it's score and matching abilities.

Yeah of course it's fun Cheesy It's a very cool idea, but I don't see the point in making it a character instead of an id3-tag. Wink

New category beyong Elite, called "Über" with these modes:

Stereo - Like mono, but there are two different colors (+ gray). One color is more frequent than the other, but gives less points.
Transformer - By pressing the middle mouse button, this character can switch between a Pusher and Pointman. Any blocks collected during Pusher mode give twice the score on a clean Match, even after switching back to Pointman. If a match is made of blocks partially collected in Pusher, and partially in Pointman mode, the 100% is applied partially accordingly. Any blocks that Pointman picked up are still there after switching to and from Pusher. This character would allow a lot of new strategies!
Dual Eraser - Like DVE, but can erase blocks with left/right click, which causes only blocks on the left/right to be erased. This may sound simple but would actually be a serious challenge to coordinate properly, and would also allow some interesting strategies (i.e. connecting high value blocks by collecting some unwanted blocks in between and then deleting them). The cross-over bonus should be 200% (so it can compete with the Transformer)

Additional changes to Dual Eraser and Transformer mode, compared to Elite:
- Violett blocks give no points at all (but still count towards the chain)
- The match/chain-alive duration starts of very high, but becomes progressively lower, the higher the chain level is. On the other hand, the chain is only gradually reduced when blocks are not picked up fast enough (which means that on a longer song you eventually reach a certain chain level where chain-gain by making matches and chain-loss by not making those matches fast enough cancel each other out). This would also fundamentally change the game because there may be situations where it makes sense to lose a few chain levels to get a higher match duration needed to make larger matches for a higher overall score, etc...

How about instead of "Domo", name it "Stereo" (I hope you can see why I suggest that name Tongue)

A DVE with Eraser capabilities is epic. Transformer looks broken on paper, but seems like a fun idea. Indeed it would open up a wide array of strategies.

Only thing about "transformer" that Lu Tze explained that I didn't like was using the middle mouse button to switch modes. My left hand sits here doing the knuckle shuffle while I'm playing. why not put it to some use, instead of overloading my mouse further.

Transform sounds fun... but that would require me to learn Pointman. bleh. I should make a video of me playing pointman, it'd be comical.

This doesn't mean the Developers are looking for new Characters or they will ever pick one of these, It's all for the fun of it.

Hah, ironically I am also only good with Pointman on very fast songs, although I am nowhere near Oopla...

Of course the mode switch should also be possible with some keyboard key, all functions of the mouse are doubled anyway (except for DV-characters), afaik.

Hm, why do you think it would be broken? Of course, all other characters need a score boost, but aside from that...
