Best songs you have played?
« on: February 19, 2008, 08:47:11 pm »
So what songs have you enjoyed most playing in the audio-surf format? For me it has been:

Venetian Snares-Masodik Galamb
Mogwai-Glasgow Mega-Snake

Anything Venetian Snares has been great because the sharp changes in tempo and the shear speed of the songs, you guys need to check it out. Mogwai was the first really fast song I played and Glasgow Mega-Snake is such a tremendous song.

Girls - Death in Vegas  ...it's a really fun ride.  slowly builds you up for the big rhythmic finish.

Just about everything by J.S. Bach was transformed into a thing of beauty by Audiosurf so far. Strongly recommended :)

I don't think I've tried any Bach yet, though I louded up one of the orchestral versions of the Chaconne from Partita #2...alas it didn't look promising (most likely because of recording quality).

But a lot of solo piano music works REALLY well.

The "Best" song I've played so far was  "Kill the rock" by Mindless Self Indulgence.

Helloween's stuff tends to work out really well to.

I agree about the Venetian Snares stuff. I haven't tried it yet but I have a feeling some Squarepusher songs would be interesting.

In my opinion, Milk by S.O.D. (Stormtroopers of Death) is pretty fun. It just has a quick buildup in the begining, then the insane ride down.

Basshunter - Boten Anna

It's got some of the steepest and quickest downhill segments I've seen.  It's absolutely brutal on elite ironmode, the downhill segments are a 45% grade!  :o  As much as it beats me to a pulp, it's just fun to play.

Most Drum n Bass tracks give nice rides no doubt about that. I must however say that one of the best songs I have tried has to be Last Ninja Extended by Instant Remedy. It's a nice ride. The track is a C64 remix of the Last Ninja theme. You can get the track for free at http://remix.kwed.org/?search_id=184 .. Try to break my record ;)
