Future of Audiosurf
« on: February 19, 2008, 11:01:10 am »
I'm sure the development staff on Audiosurf is just a few people, but it would be nice to maybe have a sticky of the stuff they are currently working on.  They could also perhaps list what updates they currently plan to bring to Audiosurf.

Just to keep us in the loop.

Making to-do and WIP lists only get people hyped and constantly asking for stuff that may take months to be included in the game.
Sure it's cool to know what they're working on or planning to do*, but the annoyance of people starting a new topic every 5 minutes asking when feature X will be avaliable beats it.

*The only thing we know is that they plan to implement Wipeout-like environments. I don't think it will be released too soon, it takes alot of work.
Correct me if I'm wrong and there are more stuff known to be in the works. People that ask when features will be avaliable don't read second posts if they aren't on their topics anyway, so we can talk about those. :P (wonders about making a secret noob/fanboy-proof topic...)

What do you mean by "Wipeout-like" environments?

after you read a few topics it's quite easy to find out their "currently working on" list.

right now it's mostly getting the servers to run better, and fixing the bugs people have.

Lol, Valve's January update, which still didn't come out drives me crazy to wait for, plus I don't want to play TF2 anymore... because it feels incomplete.
I hope AudioSurf developers release stuff unannounced : )

Possibly, but knowing what is being planned/worked on would also stop people from suggesting those.

Investigators(detectives, reporters...) listen to many version of the same story and compile them in the best version they can have.
Recieving multiple suggestions about the same thing allows them to compile the best of each suggestion into the released feature.
