Ah, the good ol' "Two-block lock".
« on: May 26, 2012, 02:52:00 pm »
Or at least, that's what I decided to call it.

This is a situation when blocks of different colours are stacked in two vertically. Not only is this hard to get rid of (especially with 3+ colours), but it causes me to eventually lose my chain. It happens so often on DVE and it really gets on my nerves :/

The grey is a white block, adding even more frustration to this.

Anyone experienced this before?

I don't have any game screenshots because every time I try to take one I end up overfilling.

ERtrysDynat told me to do it.

Who hasn't?

I usually don't lose my chain when fixing it. Quite the opposite even - just use the opportunity to lengthen your chain.
Then again, I kinda suck with DVE and chaining isn't my strongpoint there.

Similar to the checkerboard pattern, they're both annoying as fuck.
I am enough idiot to block also this topic, and if aomtt has also enough idiot to continue toss old statements have been said and new statements no basis then block those yes.

I tend to focus too much in getting rid of it that I start avoiding blocks - leading to losing chain :c

It's a very common problem for dve on faster songs, DVE can be rather unforgiving at times.

ps; collect more whites

Whites shall be the bane of my existence on Audiosurf.

Eraser has a good way to deal with this problem.

Then again, Eraser has that... overfill glitch.
irrelevant to this, but still.

Yeah, that is annoying as well. Every character has their pros and cons and strengths vary greatly between song.
I only play casually anymore anyways and I am currently enjoying learning the other modes.
