About song length...
ViRUS:
Preferably I'd like it if we could play files of any length so I can die of dehydration while playing a 12hs recording from a live event.
Although! If that's not possible, I'd like to see the limit extended to at least 79.8 minutes, which is the maximum length for a standard Audio CD.
Obviously all of this applies only if song length is still a problem in the new game, maybe Unity won't choke with extremely long tracks as Q3D did :P

That's pretty smart, actually. Maybe even try to add a function to make the CD playable in one run, even though different songs on it?
Edit: Or, as some guy suggested in the "Ideas for ASA"-thread, make the next song buffer while you're playing your current one. Though that still wouldn't allow your 12h-recording :P

Yeah the amount of mixes that I have that are just over 1hr......
Truncation isn't an option for when that happens, I must surf the whole mix.

Yeah maybe in 1987 it was 79.8 minutes, but a CD can actually last as long as 82:30 (I actually own one that's 82:27 and quite a number of others 80+).
ViRUS:
Nope, actually the standard is still 79.8 minutes and 99 tracks on a same CD. The fact that some CDs don't comply with the standard is another thing entirely ;)
Maybe you were thinking of Super Audio CDs?

Maybe not, but I could split it into several shorter files. My problem right now is the whole process of having to wait for the first file to end, hit the "Next Song" button, wait for AS to load the next one and so on. Even with YAAP the gaps between files are quite a bother and takes me out of the mood of whatever I'm listening to.
