What he wants to say is, that some songs are less fast, as they should've been.

This is especially then the case if the album is an older one which are not so loud mastered.
But also the songs "Manowar - Warriors of the World", "Manowar - Call To Arms", and so on are just yellow, but these songs arent slow. Wondered me myself that they got only yellow.

Track editor would be pointless, however some way to manipulate the incoming traffic and create an [as-steep]-like effect would be good.
Does return to the scoreboards issue. Might need some way of fingerprinting scripts if they get implemented as has been predicted in this (and other) threads.

The scoreboards are problematic in any case..

Its even so that sometimes Audiosurf creates other block layout than before.

We were some people, all had the same file. One person had other block layout than all other had. How can this be? If its the same file this really shouldnt happen. On Mono he got a good advantage due to this, because he had more blocks to get higher match.
He got a better match bonus due to this.

And block layout will sure also be different if codec and/or bitrate is different.

And mono isnt that huge scoring difference because it has too less features. even no powerups or such.
And so its quiet unfair if all have slightly different block layout.

Its unfair anyway.

Codec versions amongst other things are to blame here.

Never said they were, just track-editors would make it less fair.

ya how AS deals with different codecs and even masters can get annoying.

a very large part of my music collection is, ripped from LP's, into 24bit 96khz flac files, and i cant compete with those songs with people who use the CD version, since the mastering on the LP version isnt anywhere near as compressed and loud. Which is fucking amazing to listen too, and much better in my opinion, but gives me much less intense downhill sections in AS.

There's a simple solution - any track made with the track editor wouldn't be submitted.

I dunno why others find such a thing difficult to comprehend.

Building your own track isn't Audiosurf though, it's something different.

it has it's place, and it is extremely hard to get a good mix with out any compression, unless you ride all the levels and automate it, and adds a little more impact to drums and bass if used right. the problem is the over use of it in the industry to just make things loud and dynamic-less.

I asked this when the game was first announced, but never heard an answer.  Mac support?

Still no official word on this, although this time with ASA it is a possibility.

Indeed. Online multiplayer would be very awesome :)
You know, I guess teachers are like gigolos. You park, you order, they put their hose in your hole, fill you up, and get paid.
